In 1969, Seiko launched the 'Astron' - the worlds first ever Quartz watch, named for the Greek word meaning 'Space' and 'Stars.' Its release led Seiko down a route of further innovation, inspired by the possibility of humans one day being able to reach the stars. Building on the collection theme of 'Solidity,' this 'Morning Star' Solar GPS is inspired by this stellar aspiration. Built in a black titanium case and bracelet, sapphire crystal glass encases a sparkling blue graduated dial. Gold-coloured highlights express the glow of a morning star in a starry night sky. This piece has a slim profile in a compact, angular design that seamlessly flows through the lugs to the bracelet. The watch is powered by a 3X62 Solar-powered in-house built movement with GPS functionality, so it has exceptional accuracy being updated remotely by GPS satellite when the wearer moves between time zones.Seiko Astron: the worlds first GPS solar watch powered by light, automatically adjusted to your exact time through the latest satellite technology.
